OUR SC GOP RULES REQUIRE A SINGLE LOCATION FOR THE STATE REPUBLICAN PARTY CONVENTION IN MAY. Furthermore,

  • THE RULES REQUIRE the Convention be held IN PERSON ONLY.
  • THE RULES REQUIRE all votes cast at the Convention are by PAPER BALLOT ONLY.
  • THE RULES REQUIRE UNIFORMITY OF VOTING at the Convention.
  • The SC GOP is breaking OUR RULES by not providing a 10-day notice of the Convention location as required.

Certain SCGOP officers, elected to serve the Party members, including Chairman Drew McKissick, have violated OUR Rules by scheduling a so-called hybrid State Convention across most of the 46 SC counties. This vote by the State Executive Committee of the GOP is without authority as it violates OUR Rules and disenfranchises delegates and opens the door for more cheating and fraud.

  • GOP elected servants are violating Rule 7 (a) (1) which calls for the state convention to “meet at a location in this state”.  A single location. Not multiple locations, not even a couple of locations, but “A” location as in ONE.
  • The Convention does NOT have to take place on May 15; the rules clearly state in the MONTH of May (no date specified). Notice has to go out 10 days prior to the meeting. Thus, there is time to schedule a SINGLE LOCATION to accommodate delegates.
  • There’s no authority for the “hybrid” meeting, and the words and spirit of the Rules are to foster IN PERSON gatherings.

Otherwise, how can delegates adequately hear from Candidates for office at the Convention, make motions and resolutions and conduct business to elect future leaders of the Republican Party?

“Covid Danger” is no excuse, as Governor McMaster fully re-opened South Carolina for business back in March.

“Covid Liability” is no excuse either, as a new SC Law relinquishes any such Liability for Covid transmission.

“Lack of location” to accommodate the delegates? False again. Our elected servants have had ample time and money to find a venue, as volunteers have even secured proper locations on their own.

We the Undersigned require, AS DO OUR RULES, that there must be voter transparency through in-person voting, with uniformity of votes at a single location at our State Convention in May 2021. Changes to the Rules can ONLY be made a State Convention, and we see no evidence that that was done in 2017 or 2019.
